Some paintings tell their story slowly.

“Leap of Faith” was one of those pieces for me.

As I painted this little girl dancing freely through the field, I slowly began to realize she represented someone very real in my own life — a woman named Lori who forever changed the way I understood faith, kindness, and what it truly means to live with your heart open to others.

This painting became about more than a fleeting childhood moment. It became about the people who quietly shine light into our lives through the way they love, serve, encourage, and welcome others in. The kind of people whose faith is lived out daily in the smallest moments, leaving a lasting impact long after.

Through layers of texture, movement, light, and atmosphere, this piece reflects the beauty of childlike faith, spiritual growth, hope, and the courage it takes to step forward even when we cannot see the full path ahead.

Part of my “Love and Light” series, “Leap of Faith” was created as a reminder that the smallest acts of love and encouragement can plant seeds that continue growing for years to come.
