First Flowers was inspired by those fleeting childhood moments when children run through fields gathering tiny blooms to bring home to their mothers — little hands clutching flowers as if they were treasures. It’s a painting about innocence, wonder, and the beauty of noticing the small gifts scattered throughout ordinary days.

Layers of texture, soft movement, and glowing light create a dreamlike atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and deeply grounding. The figure disappearing down the path invites the viewer back into that childlike sense of awe — the kind that slows us down long enough to appreciate beauty, love, and the changing seasons of life.
